THE CHERRY BLUE PROJECT IS GETTING READY!

So we're rehearsing the other night at Cascade Studios in Hollywood, and all was well. You know we're getting ready for the show on 6/29/07... I really like the vibe of all of us together. Each person is excellent at his or her instrument. But here's what I wanna know- Is there some kind of rule in The Secret Musician's Handbook that in order to become accomplished in your field, that you must be at least 20 minutes late to all rehersals??? I mean, maybe I didn't get the memo! But I swear, sometimes I just wanna get my Ike Turner on-"Fi dolla fine!". LOL! Anyway, all lateness to the side, I'm very pleased with the progress of rehersals. I know the show is gonna be FIRE! Let me suggest to you, that if you are in the Los Angeles area on Friday June 29th, that you come by Final Friday at 801 E. 4th Pl., Los Angeles, CA 90013. And to all you musicians out there...Do the band a huge favor and show up early instead of late ;)

I AM SOOO MAD @ THE SOPRANOS!!!!

On top of the fact that the entire last episode of the Sopranos moved at a snails pace last night, let me just tell you how I was pissed off at that ending!!!! How you just gonna be in a restaurant with your family with the music going, all of your close folks have gotten whacked, your head is being hunted, all of this CRAZY tension is around you, and the DAMNED SCREEN JUST GOES BLACK--- WHAT PART OF THE GAME IS THAT??? It was like unfulfilling sex, or going to the refrigerator to get a drink and discovering there's only a swallow of what you wanted left. It was some BULLSH**. I hear there is supposed to be some Sopranos movie to come out in the future or something like that...Anybody else heard that? Something has got to give, because you just can't end all of these seasons Soprano fabulousness like that. That's just criminal. Holla if you hear me.

Last Night In The Studio!!!

Ok... All I have to say is- Last night in the studio was 'OFF DA CHAIN'. I started recording my last song for my album sampler... I think. Anyway, it's called 'To Want the Love'. I can't wait for y'all to hear it. I have to say, I'm definitely growing as an artist, because there was a time when I absolutely hated recording. But, things are a changin'. So, B (that's my engineer/co-producer) is getting all of my stuff ready for the show that we're doing for Final Fridays on the 29th of this month. I'll be performing with my band, The Cherry Blue Project, and having my music there (fingers crossed), and moving forward. Man, I'm telling you... Doing this music shit on your own budget is a BEEOTCH. So keep me in your prayers, and hearts, and minds with positivity and light, cause I'mma be a BEAST when I come out.
